Royal Enfield will expand its 650cc motorcycle portfolio with the launch of 3 new models including the Classic 650 and Bullet 650
Royal Enfield, one of the most sought-after two-wheeler manufacturers in the country is readying a host of new motorcycles which are scheduled for a launch in the coming years. Amongst these, the 650cc range will also witness expansion with multiple new models confirmed to go on sale in a scheduled manner. In this article, we will look at the 3 upcoming RE 650cc motorcycles in India.
1. Royal Enfield Bear 650
Royal Enfield recently revealed the 5thbike based on its 650cc platform, the Bear 650. The Interceptor-based Scrambler uses the familiar underpinnings, however, there are significant changes to the suspension setup and wheels. The front wheel is a 19-inch unit while the rear is a 17-incher.
The Bear 650 hangs on the Showa USD forks at the front and conventional dual shock absorbers at the rear. The Scrambler gets a fully digital instrument cluster, a straight life-off from the latest Himalayan 450. The Bear 650 is powered by the familiar 648cc parallel-twin engine, however, it now produces more torque at 56.5 Nm while the power output remains the same at 47 bhp.

2. Royal Enfield Classic 650
Set for a debut at the EICAM 2024, the Classic 650 will be a larger displacement version of the Royal Enfield’s best-seller Classic 350. Expected to share its underpinnings with the Shotgun 650, the two-wheeler will draw power from the familiar 648cc parallel-twin engine putting out 47.4 bhp and 52.4 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The production-ready test mules have revealed that the upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650 will ride on wire-spoke rims, however, alloy wheels with tubeless tyres will likely be offered as an accessory. In addition to this, the design of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 will retain a retro charm and it will get a twin peashooter exhaust setup.

3. Royal Enfield Bullet 650
Spied testing multiple times while testing, the Bullet 650 is expected to launch next year in the Indian market. Royal Enfield will likely position the Bullet 650 at the bottom of the current 650cc range. The latest near-production test mules reveal that the motorcycle shares the design with the Bullet 350 as well as the upcoming Classic 650.
A single-piece seat, round headlamp, familiar teardrop-styled fuel tank and spoke wheels are some of the highlights of its retro design. The Bullet 650 will share its underpinnings with the Super Meteor 650 and the Shotgun 650. The two-wheeler will be powered by the 648cc parallel-twin engine putting out 47.4 bhp and 52.4 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
