Royal Enfield has released the engine specs and feature details of the upcoming Bear 650 ahead of its public debut at the EICMA 2024
Royal Enfield has digitally revealed the all-new Bear 650 Scrambler motorcycle ahead of its public premiere at the EICMA 2024 on Nov 5 in Italy. It is the brand’s fifth motorcycle with a 650cc engine in India after the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. Royal Enfield Bear 650 India Launch Date
The Bear 650, in all likelihood, will be launched for the Indian buyers at the Motoverse 2024, which starts from Nov 22 in Goa. We expect the bookings to begin at the same time with the deliveries starting shortly.

The Bear 650 will be available in a total of five color schemes which will be revealed on Nov 5, 2024.
Royal Enfield Bear 650 Chassis and Hardware
The Bear 650 is based on the same platform as the Interceptor 650, albeit with different wheel size and suspension setup. Living true to its Scrambler character, it rides on a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel as compared to the 18-inch front and rear wheels of the Interceptor 650. The suspension setup too is quite modern and upmarket with Showa USD forks (borrowed from Shotgun 650) at front and dual-shock unit at the rear. The suspension travel has been enhanced to 130mm/115mm from the Interceptor’s 110mm/88mm.
The saddle height is pegged at 830mm which makes it the highest among the 650cc motorcycles of the brand. Royal Enfield has equipped the Bear 650 with new Nylorex block pattern tyres by MRF, but no tubeless option on offer.

Royal Enfield Bear 650 Brakes
The Bear 650 boasts of a 320mm front disc brake, identical to the Interceptor 650. However, the rear disc brake is now 270mm as compared to the Interceptor’s 240mm. It features a dual-channel ABS, which is switchable for the rear tyre. The footpeg positioning has been modified too while it carries a broader handlebar.
Royal Enfield Bear 650 Engine Specs
The Bear 650 fetches power from the same 648cc parallel-twin engine. However, it doesn’t flaunt the dual exhaust pipe system, instead a two-into one setup with single exhaust is provided, which has subsequently resulted in the highest torque performance of 56.5 Nm among all the other Royal Enfield 650cc motorcycles.
The maximum power output remains the same at 47bhp at 7250 rpm. The single exhaust pipe has also helped immensely in weight reduction as the Bear 650 tips the scale at 216 kg which is almost 2 kg lesser than the Interceptor 650.
Royal Enfield Bear 650 Features
The Bear 650 comes with an all-LED setup in the headlamp, tail-lamp and turn indicators. Royal Enfield has incorporated the new round TFT digital instrument cluster with a new switchgear. Already available with the Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450, it features integrated Google Maps and music controls.
