Royal Enfield Hunter 350 crossed one lakh sales in just six months since retail began while the next one lakh units were reached in around five months
Royal Enfield introduced the Hunter 350 in August 2022 for an attractive starting price of Rs. 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and is the sportiest and lightest 350 cc offering from the brand yet. It has been well received amongst consumers not just in India but abroad as well and its volume numbers have been on a high – often getting close to or outselling the Classic 350 monthly in India.
In a press statement, the Chennai-based manufacturer noted that the roadster has garnered over two lakh sales across the globe. The Hunter 350 reached the one lakh sales milestone in February 2023 and it took just over four months to double the volumes – underlining its high popularity. Speaking on the success of the Hunter 350, B. Govindarajan, CEO of Royal Enfield said,
“The Hunter 350 is, undoubtedly, the most popular motorcycle launched in the mid-size motorcycle segment over the last year. We are very proud that in less than one year since its launch the Hunter has amassed a proud community of more than two hundred thousand riders across the world. Not just in India, the Hunter 350 is increasingly growing in popularity across international markets as well.”
The Hunter 350 is developed from the ground up and has become a preferred choice for young customers due to its easy manoeuvrability in city traffic conditions and the ability to handle long rides over the weekends. It is also the recipient of more than 20 awards including the Indian Motorcycle of the Year 2023 award and Best Modern Classic Lightweight Motorcycle in Thailand.
Royal Enfield says the Hunter 350 has a strong customer base in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets as well apart from the metros. In addition to India, Hunter is retailed in Indonesia, Japan, Korea and Thailand in APAC; France, Germany, Italy and the UK in Europe; Argentina, Colombia and Mexico in LATAM and in Australia and New Zealand.
It will soon be introduced in one of the largest markets in the world, Brazil. The RE Hunter 350 is underpinned by a twin cradle chassis and has several commonalities with the latest Classic 350. It is equipped with a 349 cc single-cylinder OHC air- and oil-cooled engine kicking out just over 20.2 PS at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm at 4,000 rpm, and is linked with a five-speed transmission.
